Choose iTunes > Preferences, click the General tab, and in the Views section, uncheck Use custom colors for open albums, movies, etc. Then use the arrows in the bottom-right corner of the display to choose your resolution size. Here you need to remember that if you switch out of Playlists view, the sidebar will disappear from iTunes again. You’ll now switch to Playlist mode, and a sidebar will appear on the left.
